I’m an inquisitive soul with an insatiable appetite for exploration. Picture this: I’m earning college cash at a cozy lodge nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Fate intervenes, and there I meet my kindred spirit—a fellow wanderer who shares my passion for travel. We’re not just accountants; we’re CPA (Certified Professional Adventurers). Every year, we meticulously plan for our globe-trotting escapades, blocking off precious time to explore the unknown. Yet, it wasn’t until that one extraordinary trip that I truly understood the magic of travel. Imagine standing at the edge of the Devil’s Throat—a place where the Iguazu River plunges with a thunderous roar, shrouded in a thick, misty veil. It’s like a cosmic game of hide-and-seek, and in that moment, I felt connected to the very creation of our planet. Iguazu Falls intensified our desire to seek out more hidden gems and the unknown. Armed with the lists of UN countries, the Travelers’ Century Club (TCC) countries, and UNESCO sites, my soul mate and I crisscrossed by plane and ship all 7 continents and about 200+ TCC countries seeking remarkable experiences. From swimming with Galapagos sea lions to scaling Machu Picchu, we collect memories like rare gems. Along with our children, we push our comfort zones—helicopter rides over Alaskan glaciers, zip-lining through mountain peaks, and standing next to molten Hawaiian lava. |
